It has been a very busy and exciting year so far in Whistler, B.C.! Still feeling the buzz of a record  amount of visitors this summer and endless amounts of beautiful weather, it's time to get geared up for another snowy winter! Some of the highlights from this year so far:

• The Renaissance Project  - a long term plan from WhistlerBlackcomb to spend $350M on new all season activities and luxury ski-in and ski-out townhomes on Blackcomb Mountain.
• Whistler Blackcomb was purchased by Vail Resorts - Vail Resorts pays $1.4 Billion for what some are calling “ the crown jewel,” of all of Vail's properties.
• Summer visitors exceed winter....again!
• Winter 2015/16 had the most snow we've seen in years!

The common market trend in Whistler is a severe lack of listing inventory. Condo listing inventory is down 84% in 2016 to approximately 60 active listings from the high of July 2011 when there was 325 condo's actively listed for sale on the Whistler Listing System.
