SUMMER 2013 WHISTLER REAL ESTATE MARKET UPDATE Whistler Olympic Plaza - One of the many free outdoor concerts this summer! It’s been a good summer for both resort activity and real estate activity.  Events like the Tough-Mudder, Summer Concert Series, Ironman and  Grand-Fondo continue to make the summer season a great success.  On the real estate side, it appears 2013 has brought stability to the local  market. While we are still seeing some price reductions with specific  types of properties, others are seeing multiple offers for the first time in  many years. It’s evident that overall buyer confidence in Whistler  continues to grow stronger. It has been a very busy summer in Whistler with one world class event after the other! With record breaking sunny periods over July, a steady Canadian economy  and a stagnant Vancouver housing market we are are seeing a very healthy spike in buyer activity in Whistler! With the improvements to the Sea to Sky Highway and the affordability in Whistler we are seeing upwards of 80% of the property buyers are coming from the lower mainland of Vancouver!
